It has been a long time since this site was updated. Originally this was planned to update the family on events and happenings as we continue to grow. Typical life keeps us so busy that we do not stop and accomplish everything that we plan, hence the long delay for current news.

2009 was not a good year for the Monahan family. We suddenly lost our beloved Dad, Eugene R. Monahan on July 17th. Needless to say the whole family was in shock. Often at times we are still in disbelief. Dad was of pretty sturdy stock - a typical jolly Irishman with a twinkle in his eyes when he smiled. Our close famliy seemed to pull even closer.

In November we were hit with another tragedy. Our mom, Frances Monahan, had a stoke. She is and always has been a fighter. Presently she is working very hard to overcome the side effects or damage done by the stroke. As usual the family is working hard to support her in everyway with the bulk of the burden falling on the siblings who live nearby. If well wishes, prayers, and love could heal she would already be home again arguing that the Yankees are truly the greatest.

The saying is 'Time heals all wounds'. Not sure about that but we are certainly counting on 2010 to be better.
